Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Who I am

This website is a personal portfolio operated by David Guillaume, based in Fribourg, Switzerland. Contact: guillaume.david11@gmail.com.

2. Data collected

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymous usage statistics: pages visited, time on site, approximate geographic region, device type, and referral source. No name, email address, or other directly identifying information is collected through analytics.

If you contact me via email, your email address and message content are processed solely to respond to your enquiry and are not stored beyond that purpose.

3. Legal basis

Analytics are processed on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you provide or withhold via the cookie banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the 🍪 icon at the bottom-left of the page.

4. Data recipient & international transfer

Analytics data is transmitted to and processed by Google LLC, headquartered in the United States. This constitutes an international transfer of personal data outside the EEA. Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework as the legal basis for this transfer. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

No analytics data is shared with any other third party. No data is used for advertising purposes.

5. Consent Mode & cookieless pings

This site uses Google Advanced Consent Mode v2. When you decline analytics, Google Tag Manager may still send limited, cookieless signals (including your IP address and user agent) to Google for aggregate modelling purposes. No cookies are set and no persistent identifier is created. If you wish to prevent this entirely, you may use a browser-level ad or tracker blocker.

6. Cookies & storage

Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key cookie_consent. This is not a tracking cookie and contains no personal data. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) with a retention period of up to 2 years.

7. Data retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months (the default setting). You can request deletion by contacting me at the email above.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you
  • Request rectification or erasure
  • Withdraw consent at any time (via the 🍪 icon)
  • Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact: guillaume.david11@gmail.com.
